Body Psychotherapy Training
What is body-oriented psychotherapy?
Body-oriented psychotherapy is based on connecting the body and mind during the healing process. This training provides therapeutic techniques that enable the recognition and release of emotional blockages held in the body. Through work with clients, the therapist learns to use physical techniques to release tension and trauma, helping them integrate their emotions and body into a unified whole.
What Is It Used For?
This training is designed for those who want to develop a deeper understanding of the connection between body and mind. Through practical experience, participants develop the ability to help clients release emotional blocks, physical pain, and trauma.
By using the body as a therapeutic tool, practitioners can support deeper, more lasting change, fostering greater emotional and physical freedom in their clients.
The training also supports the development of personal skills and greater self-understanding.
Origins and Development
Body-oriented psychotherapy has developed through various therapeutic traditions, many of which focus on emotional healing through the physical body. It was developed to support people who experience difficulties expressing emotions, physical pain, and trauma that manifests through the body.
CIR INTP is a training institute accredited by the European Association for Body Psychotherapy (EABP). It focuses on personal development and professional training for psychotherapeutic work in the field of integrative body-oriented psychotherapy in Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
How Does It Differ from Other Therapies?
Body-oriented psychotherapy is distinctive in that it incorporates physical work into the therapeutic process, enabling the release of emotional and physical blocks.
Unlike therapeutic approaches that focus primarily on verbal communication, this approach allows the body to take an active role in the healing process, supporting deeper and more rapid transformation.
What Can You Expect from the Training?
Participants will learn how to use physical and emotional techniques in their work with clients, through practical exercises and group processes. The training includes a theoretical framework, while placing a strong emphasis on experiential practice.
There will also be opportunities for personal reflection and emotional processing, enabling participants to integrate what they learn into their own therapeutic skills.
