SUPERVISION AND MENTORING

A space for development, reflection, and a new perspective

Supervision and mentoring for psychotherapists, helping professionals, educators, artists, and anyone who wants to develop their professional experience in a more conscious, creative, and authentic way.

What are supervision and mentoring?

Supervision is a space where we can pause, look at our professional work from another perspective, and explore what is happening between us and the people we work with.

In psychotherapy, we are often so close to the process that it can be difficult to see the bigger picture. Supervision allows us to explore the therapeutic process, the relationship with the client, our own reactions, boundaries, dilemmas, and the places where we feel stuck.

Mentoring is something different. It focuses on the development of a person and their professional path – on the questions: Where do you want to go, what do you want to create, and how can you make it happen in a way that is aligned with who you are?

In my work, I draw on my experience in psychotherapy, the arts, education, event organisation, and project leadership to help you see more clearly what you already have, recognise what may be missing, and take the next step.

Who is this for?

Supervision is primarily intended for psychotherapists and psychotherapists in training who want a space to reflect on their work, develop professionally, and deepen their personal awareness.

It can be helpful when you are working with a challenging client, navigating a complex therapeutic relationship, facing a professional dilemma, or feeling that you are going around in the same circle.

Mentoring is intended for people who are developing their own professional path, project, or practice – therapists, educators, artists, workshop facilitators, and others who work with people and create something of their own.

If you have an idea but don’t know how to turn it into a concrete project; if you are already doing something but want to organise it better; if you want to start your own practice, educational programme, workshop, or event – we can look together at what is needed to move the idea from your mind into reality.

Why might I need supervision or mentoring?

Sometimes we don’t need another book, training, or new method.

Sometimes we need someone to sit with us and look together at what we are doing.

Someone who will ask the right question.

Someone who will notice what we cannot see ourselves.

Someone who will stop us when we are pushing too hard and encourage us when we are standing still.

Supervision and mentoring are not spaces where someone else gives you ready-made solutions. They are spaces where we explore together, ask questions, connect experiences, and look for what is most important for you at this particular moment.

What can we explore together?

In supervision, we can work with specific therapeutic cases, the relationship with a client, boundaries, countertransference, our own emotional responses, feelings of competence, professional dilemmas, and situations in which you don’t know what to do next.

In mentoring, we can work on developing a private practice, designing workshops and educational programmes, organising events, facilitating groups, creative projects, professional positioning, organising your time and energy, and turning an idea into a concrete project.

We can also explore how to bring together different parts of your experience into something that is recognisably your own.

Because sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t know enough.

The problem is that we don’t know how to connect everything we know.

What makes my approach different?

My professional path has not developed within just one field.

For almost thirty years, I have worked in the arts, theatre directing, and drama education. I have worked in education, production, and cultural management, led artistic projects and workshops, and taught performing arts at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split.

At the same time, I am a psychotherapist and educator in the field of body-oriented psychotherapy. Since 2019, I have run a private psychotherapy practice, workshops, and intensives, and since 2021 I have been involved in the training of future therapists.

This is why, in my work, I don’t look at just one dimension of a problem.

I am interested in the person, the relationship, the process, the body, creativity, context, and what we want to create.

I believe that professional development is not only about becoming more skilled, but also about becoming more aware of how we work, why we do what we do, and what kind of impact we want to make.

What does a session look like?

At the beginning, we will identify what you are bringing and what you would like to get from the session.

If we are doing supervision, we can take one specific case or topic that is important to you at the moment. We will explore what is happening in the process, what is happening within you, and what is happening in the relationship.

If we are doing mentoring, we will start with your idea, situation, or question. Together, we will break it down into what is important, possible, and achievable.

I don’t offer universal recipes.

Sometimes I will offer my experience, knowledge, or a concrete suggestion. Sometimes I will ask more questions than I answer. Sometimes we will draw something, write, act something out, or look at it from a completely different perspective.

I adapt the way we work to the person and to what is needed in that particular moment.

Do I need supervision or mentoring?

If you are asking yourself this question, perhaps the answer is simply – let’s talk.

You don’t need to have a clearly formulated problem or a perfectly defined goal.

Maybe you simply feel that you want to take your work to the next level.

Maybe you are at the beginning of your professional journey and need support.

Maybe you have been working for a long time but feel that you have become stuck somewhere.

Maybe you have a lot of knowledge and experience but don’t know how to bring it together.

Or maybe you simply want a space where you can be a professional who doesn’t have to know everything on your own.

If you would like to look at your work from another perspective, I invite you to get in touch.

Together, we can see whether supervision, mentoring, or a combination of the two would be the right fit for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is this supervision only for psychotherapists?

It is primarily intended for psychotherapists and psychotherapists in training. If you work in a helping profession, education, or another field where you work intensively with people, feel free to get in touch and we can see whether this way of working is right for you.

Is mentoring the same as coaching?

Not necessarily. Mentoring draws on the mentor’s experience and expertise in a particular field. My approach is not focused solely on setting and achieving goals, but on taking a broader view of the person, their work, their context, and the way they want to create.

Can I come with a specific project?

Yes. We can work on an idea for a workshop, educational programme, event, artistic project, starting a private practice, or another professional project.

Can I come if I don't know exactly what I need?

Yes. You don’t need to know in advance whether you need supervision, mentoring, or something else. The first session can be an opportunity to explore together what would be most useful for you at this point.

How many sessions do I need?

There is no predetermined number. For some people, one conversation around a specific question is enough; others may benefit from ongoing supervision or mentoring over a period of time. We agree on the frequency and duration according to your needs.
